Windows Phone 7 Series
Microsoft has just recently launched Windows Phone 7 Series, their new mobile phone platform. It is a direct replacement for the dated Windows Mobile platform, and offers some much needed upgrades to help it compete with the ever-popular iPhone and Blackberry platforms.
One of the main features of the new Windows Phone 7 Series is that it is almost 100% new. If you have used Windows Mobile before, you will understand why this is such a good thing. (We are not saying that Windows Mobile was a bad product, it was just lacking in some very important areas to it’s nearest competitors) all the coding is new, the look is new, and the functionality is new. This is like nothing you have seen before.
What can the Windows Phone 7 Series do that makes it so special? Well, to start it can interact with your Xbox. It also focuses heavily on social media, offering special features to make the usage of popular social media applications easier and pain free.
Is the Windows Phone 7 Series something to get excited about, or is this a cell phone version of Windows Vista. While it is still early, all signs point to this being a very high quality platform. While it may have some catching up to do when it comes to its main competitors that are on the Blackberry and the iPhone, it does look quite promising. It should be available sometime before the holiday season, so you will have to wait a while to get your hands on a Windows Phone 7 Series equipped device!
